n-Track Studio 2.0 is a multitrack recording and editing software for Windows 95/98/NT: this program allows recording, mixing and editing of a virtually unlimited number of audio and MIDI tracks. The program's ease of use makes it perfect for the music hobbyist who has a computer and wants to record his own music without having to spend hundreds of dollars for conventional tape recording machines or other professional software packages: the program exploits today's computing power for realizing functionality that only two or three years ago were limited to professional or semi-professional studio equipment. All is needed is a full-duplex sound card (i.e. capable of simultaneous recording and playback) or two or more soundcards. DirectX real-time audio Plug-Ins can be applied non-destructively to each track, allowing the user to listen immediately to the result of a change in the parameters of an effect. Reverb, Echo, Chorus and Autovol DirectX plug-ins are included. Wave editing operations can be performed from within the program. Volume and pan evolution can be programmed by drawing on the timeline window. When all the tracks have been recorded, the song can be mixed down to a single wave file, which can be later used for recording an audio CD or for creating, using the built-in encoder, an mp3 file to distribute through the internet.
It turns your computer into a modern, State-of-The-Art spectrum analyzer.
A complete “recording-studio-in-a-box” with unlimited MIDI and audio tracks.

Another thing that i've all ways had my mind so set on was makeing sure that peek meters on my software appeared in red when it was peeking. But when I used n-track I changed wave settings on objects to colors without seeing the wave, and i liked it. I changed parameters to peek in different colors other than red. That's what I wouldn't have touched on Professional music editing software. I have to admit i will use this software again because it is capable of great things. In reality it can do the job that professional software like Pro Tools,Magix or Sony can do - i'm not lying.
